The line graph illustrates the proportion of women working in parliament during 2000 - 2012 of 5 countries in Europe. It is clear that all countries recorded a notable increase of female member through the period.
In 2000, Germany's parliament reported the highest women proportion place with over 30%. Although this ratio had increased to over 35% by 2012, Germany still had been took over by Italy with a higher growth pace from over 25% to nearly 40%.
Beside, there is a country had dramatic jump by approximately 20%, with nearly 25% persons working in the government were female, that is the UK. Belgium also reached to the same portion with the UK at the end of period from over 15% in 2000 with a little decline in 2008 - 2012. And the last country, France saw a consistent increase in percentage of female working in parliament through year, then posted a third place among these countries.
In conclusion, there were more and more women working in the government sector in the beginning years of 21th century in Europe. In which, Italy had the female member ratio highest and the UK and Belgium were the lowest ratio countries through years.
