Essay topics:

Some people think it's better to rent accommodation than own it, while others disagree saying that owning property has more advantages. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Living in a rent house is getting popular than buying own house nowadays. It is commonly believed that renting a house is better for them while others disagree. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my own opinions.

On the one hand, some people believe that renting a house is more beneficial than purchasing a property. The main reason is that it is financially efficient. Because they don’t have to have a huge amount of money to stay in the place where they want. For example, the average cost at the front to rent a house in Sydney is $2,500 which is less than 5 percent of buying a house.

On the other hand, people argue that owing property is more advantageous. Firstly, it can be an investment for their future. According to real estate statistics, the price of properties is consistently increasing since 1970. For instance, If they buy a house or an apartment at the price $650,000 now, it will value more than $800,000 in 20 years. Secondly, it is emotionally comfortable for people to settle down and plan their elderly living at an early age. This means that, because most people will have to pay the mortgage, they will possibly already know where they are going to live for the next 10 to 20 years and what they are going to do and how and so on, so that people feel more secure knowing their planned lifestyle.

In conclusion, I do understand the positive side of renting a property, however, I would argue that buying their own property is far more beneficial.
