The chart illustrates the proportion of population differentiate by age in two cities of Yemen and Italy in the year 2000 together with the projections for 2050. Overall, Yemen and Italy were really different regarding on the population.
In 2000, the biggest population in Yemen belonged to the group of 0-14 years with 50.10%, which occupied half of the city. Followed with 46.30% of population from group of 15-59 years. Yemen had only 3.60% of people with age more than 60 years. However, Yemen prognosticate that the city will occupy with more productive groups of 15-59 years instead of younger or older age. Moreover, citizen that already surpassed 60 years, remained being the lowest measurement of population.
In the other hand, Italy did not have similar proportion to Yemen. In early 2000, group of 15-59 years occupied nearly three fourth of the city population, which was 61.60%. Group of more than 60 years came in second, unexpectedly. Italy predicted within 50 years, the highest proportion of 46.20% still belonged to the same group of age. People of more than 60 years only had the difference of approximately 4% to the biggest percentage. Group of 0-14 years came in last with 11.50%.
