The professor refutes this point by saying that errors can be found in any type of encyclopedia online or offline. However, he states that the advantage of online encyclopedia is that the information can be changed easier than in the printed version.
Second, the article posits that hackers can corrupt the online encyclopedia by fabricating, deleting, and changing the information. It states that in traditional encyclopedia any change can be made after finishing. However, the professor says that the online encyclopedias have some strategies in order to prevent hackers. According to the professor, a special method of only read format was created, so people who use the online encyclopedia cannot make any change. Moreover, they count with a special group of editors that they control all the malicious intention of changing it.
Third, the reading says that the online encyclopedias is too trivial in popular topics, and therefore create a false impression of what information is important and what is not. On the other hand, the author's says that the traditional encyclopedia creates a sense of proportion in the topics. The professor opposes this point by explaining that traditional encyclopedias have limited space. Thus, do not reflect people's interests. We also learn that space in online encyclopedias is not an issue. Furthermore, they offer a variety of information with diverse articles that satisfy user's demands.
