Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how the proposal discussed in the lecture would solve the specific challenges described in the reading passage.
Based on the seemingly reasonable evidence, the reading insists that there might be three reasons that humans are impossible to maintain a presence on Venus. However, the professor strongly disapproves of the above and then presents several pieces of evidence to support his statement.
First, the reading contends that it is the extremely high pressure at Venus' surface that humans cannot survive. Yet, the professor refutes this conclusion, demonstrating that if we build a station floating in the atmosphere, where the pressure there is equal to that on Earth. Therefore, it is unjustifiable to conclude that it is impossible to stay in Venus.
Moreover, the reading attempts to inform that water is absent from Venus, so there is no chance for humans to establish a station there. The professor, however, suggests that it is possible to produce water through some chemical process by using the composition in the atmosphere. Thus, the reading is unfounded.
At last, the reading assumes that very little sunlight can pass through the thick clouds and gases on Venus. But the professor points out that, if humans can set up a station at the height of fifty kilometers, it is probable that some light passing through thin clouds and the reflected light is sufficient for the solar power cells to generate electricity.
In conclusion, although the reading and the lecture are both about the possibility of step on Venus, the three main points made in the reading are effectively challenged by the lecturer.
