The tow maps illustrate a schematic view of a town called Islip before and after changes which has been considered for its development.
As the maps show, there are noticeable changes in second map comparing with the first one. At first, the city experiences Dual carriageway all around itself, including countryside. Furthermore, the residential areas are separated by the new running road, and new houses are sprung up west of the park with shrinking it.
Turning to the north of housing area, main roads is replaced by the pavements designed only for pedestrians’ use. Also, two paths separating from the main road to the school and residential area with park are replaced by carriageway. Moreover, the chains of shops north of the main road are changed to the bus station, shopping centre, car park and new housing from west to the east, and a road is added from Dual carriageway to the new housing area.
To sum up, there are significant changes in new map, and different facilities are added for public and private use.
