31.The percentage and exact time (weekly ) males and females spent on house tasks in 2010 of a country
The bar graphs provide the proportion and time spent on different house stuffs by males and females in 2010 of a nation.
In overall, the figure for females in doing house activities surpassed that of males in both the time and proportion graphs, excepting for appliances repair.
Referring to the percentage graph, 80% of women took part in preparing meals in 2010, which was approximately 40% higher than males’ figure. Moreover, in terms of cleaning and taking care of pets, females also surpassed males by 30% and nearly 2% each. In contrast, housing repair was the only section that the proportion of men experienced a higher number than that of females in 2010.
According to the time chart,while women spent more than 80 minutes cooking food, 20 minutes were the average time men allocated on this section. The case was also the same when it came to cleaning, at 40 minutes in females and 10% in males respectively. Likewise, while caring pets saw the similar amount of time in both 2 genders at around 18 minutes, house repair was the only sector which men exceeded females.
