Essay topics:

summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they contradict specific points made in the reading passage

The speaker in the lecture was trying to explain his contradiction with this idea that the Pluto is not a plant. These lecture is in contradiction with the passage.
First he mentioned that so many of astronomers do not agree this depletion since they believe that Pluto is the biggest germ in that area or have moons. This remark is against the passage idea that mention Pluto " does not dominate the region of it's orbit".
Second, the speaker claimed that the definition of International Astronomical Union about the planet should be change to revolve all the germs that can be a plant but have some objections. This idea is in contrary with rigid three criteria that mentioned in the passage.
Finally, lecturer implied that calling the Pluto dwarf planet is challenging because for 80 years we call it planet and changing this word is confusing. Also rewriting and rebuilding the data is cost and time consuming. Also this idea is an objection to the knowing Pluto as a dwarf planet.
