Firstly, the author posits that trapping of turtle is infrequent but losing of shrimps make a loss in their budget.However the lecturer disagree with the author's points by saying that not seldom, but annually thousand of turtle trapped in nets of TED.
Additionally,the author suggested that turtles can be endangered by putting a time limit on shrimp boats to keep their nets underwater.The professor rebuts this arguments.He says that theoretically it is good but practically it is hard to enforce time monitoring in all kind of boats.However,checking of nets by shrimpers before leaving can be more effective then monitoring
Last but not least,the author notes that TED is not work for large species of turtle like loggerhead and leather-back.
