Overall, all the three types of companies witnessed an unceasing rise in the use of social media for their business during the given period. In addition, big corporations make use of social networks most, while small enterprises’ use was quite low.
In 2012, large firms make the most use of social networking sites at a staggering 80% while the figures for the remaining two companies were much lower, ranging at around 30%. In the next 2 years, there were steady increases of 8% and 20% in the use of social media of small and medium companies, while large ones displayed a marginal decrease of only 3 %.
After hitting a bottom of 53% in 2015, perentage of social network usage of large companies bounced back to 80% in 2016. In a similar way, the other two types of enterprises experienced a steep decline to approximately 30% in 2015, which is followed by a burgeoning growth from 20% to 50% in the case of small companies and 25% tto 55% in that for medium ones.
