The map below shows the centre of a small town called Iship as it is now, and the plans for its future development.
The map gives a pictorial view of the middle of a little town Islip in its current state and prediction with future protections in terms of development.
Overall, it is noted that, the rural city has minimal and simple infrastructures but it is envisioned to have a major development in roads and buildings.
Currently In Islip town, the country side is located at the northern part of the land which houses a stretch of 7 shops with another roll of shops facing each other. The shops are divided by the main road starting from the west side and ending at the east with a branch of it connecting the side to the south-west. Behind the road is the school situated at the corridor of the southern border. Also, the remaining land in the middle of the town, down to the southern part lies the houses and the fat east holds the park.
However, in future planned development, the main roads will be changed to a dual carriage way which will surround the main town with the outlets still remaining at the west and east. Secondly, the shops at the north will be converted into a bus station, a big shopping center, a car park and the remaining land for a new housing community. The current road will be a pedestrian road only and the other side of the shops would be intact. The park will be reduced to create space for new housing in the southern sector. The school site would not change but would be separated together with other housing by the dual carriage.
