Essay topics:

Large businesses have big budget for marketing and promotion and as a result, people gravitate towards buying these products.
What problems does it cause?
What could be done to encourage people to buy local products?

Some well-known Organization keep big part of their revenue for marketing to make people aware about their products; however, It is perceived by some people that it is totally a wrong approach as it causes social and economic problems. Despite buying products from these companies, the citizens should be encouraged to purchase local brands. This essay will elaborate the menace of advertisement of well-built businesses along with measures to make people buy more local products.
There are myriad of problems caused by promoting successful corporations as it is hazardous for country's native people, especially who run small businesses. The fundamental problem is, when people watch adverts on television or read in newspaper they are more likely to shop essentials from these renowned companies and do not buy products from local vendors, which gradually makes their financial condition worsen. Consequently, the rich is becoming more rich and poor becoming more poor and it creates enormous economical- inequality in the society. The another reason that could be considered is, sometimes because of publicity of certain brands people get more attracted towards these international brands which is not a good sign for the financial growth of the nations because the monetary benefit goes in favor of other country and make native business stranded. To illustrate, people in India are now more like to spend their money for international brands like Gucci, Prada, Chanel and so on.
To make a country economically independent it is very necessary to make production, marketing and selling of different things within the country. Firstly, when a customer buys something the main concern is quality of product , so the local manufacturers should upgrade standards like durability, resistivity and overall appearance. Secondly, the another thing which people keep in buying while purchasing goods is the price, so the companies should sell essentials on price that people could afford and the authorities can also assist these manufacturers by providing subsidies for small business which in turn will decrease initial cost and they would be able to sale things on low rates. Lastly, the government should help to promote these local brands so that the citizens become more aware of native products and contribute to economy of country.
To conclude, Economical interdependence could be achieved by joint obligation of both policy makers and citizens. The authorities should subsidize small scale business in country and people should be encouraged to buy more local products by advertising them instead of advertising big brands.
