The line chart gives information about how long that 10- to 11-year-olds spent per week on two home entertainment from 2000 to at present.
Overall, two different patterns can be noticed in the time consumed by watching TV and playing computer. School children tend to use more time on the computer and less time on TV.
As can be seen in the chart, watching TV was more popular in the past, with a plateau around taking 21 hours every week between 2000 to 2003. Since then, the hours were used on TV fell by 8 hours to 15 hours per week. After 2004, the time school children spent watching TV showed some fluctuation, varied between 14 to 16 hours per week.
In 2000, it approximately took 3.5 hours weekly for school children to play computer. However, the time spent on playing computer witnessed a significant rise and took over in 2004 as 15 hours. The figures for computers continued demonstrating an increasing pattern and reaches its peak at present, with more than 21.5 hours spending on it.
