Refrigerator was the appliance witnessed the most significant changes in the given years, from nearly not being used by 1920 to the extreme percentage of 100 per cent in 2000, then kept maintaining this data to 2019. Besides, vaccum cleaner had a steady rise of 20 per cent each year in the period of 1920-1980. After that, the figures had been tapered of 10 per cent for 1980-2000 and plateaued at 100 per cent for the following years. Meanwhile, from the highest beginning of 40 per cent, washing machine increased to 70 per cent in 1960 and demised a little until it climbed back gradually in 1980 and just reached above 70 per cent in the last year shown.
On the flip side, the numbers of hours for doing chores was in the opposite tendency. Starting from 50 hours per week and falling to merely 10 hours in 2019.
