Providing healthier food at our school cafeteria
Introduction
This proposal is based on the results of a survey in which 10 people, all students at a high school, were asked about the quality of food in the school cafeteria and suggestions for having healthier food. It outlines the benefits that healthy food brings to students. It concludes by making recommendations on how to provide healthier food at our school cafeteria.
Challenges and opportunities
The main difficulties that need to be addressed are quality and inspection .Sellers in the school cafeteria sell the food which is produced from unknown origin or bought from poor quality ingredients and cooked into food for selling, so it is very cheap and unsafe. Despite this serious problem, School administrators still did not care and ignored it. In term of opportunities, providing healthier food is beneficial and safe for students.
Recommendation
There are several steps that the school could take in order to providing healthier food at school cafeteria.
• First of all, School administrators should have a survey of students’ favorite foods and make a list including both healthy food and recommended food. This is not only suitable for students’ taste but also good for health.
• Secondly, it is suggested that school cafeteria needs to upgrade the necessary tools to ensure food hygiene. It keeps nutritional content of food for a long time and always be cleaned and fresh so students are completely prevented from poisoning.
• Finally, School administrators should make a schedule of foods and change them every day. It will help control the quality and nutrition of food; improve the health of students.
Conclusion
By implementing these suggestions, the school could provide healthier food at school cafeteria easily. Healthier food helps students’ health and studies.
