Regarding the price of rice export from Thailand, in the first 2 months in 2012, the price remained steadily at over 500 million dollars before dropping by 50 to 450 million dollars in May. However, a relative growth was recorded in the price from May to July at 550 million dollars, reached its highest position and maintained until 2013. In 2013, the price experienced a noticeable decline to ranke its lowest position in the chart before increasing relatively in 2014 to reach nearly 500 million dollars. Although the price had a fluctuation in 2015, in the end it still remained at 500 million dollars.
In terms of the rice export’s price from Vietnam, in 2012 the price maintained at 400 million dollars in the first 2 month before dropping to 375 million dollars in May. However, from May to December, the price recovered relatively to 400 million dollars. In 2013 and 2014, the price witnessed a gradual decrease by 50 to 325 million dollars. In addition, from March to June in 2015, the price had a surge to reach 375 million dollars and maintained its price before experiencing a considerable decline to 325 million dollars again in December.
