Young people should spend more time on cultural activities such as music and theater and less time on sport. How far do you agree with this statement?
These days, people are always busy with their full-time jobs so the time they spend on leisure activities is generally small. This requires human beings to consider which hobby is most appropriate for them. Although there is an opinion that adolescents should focus on cultural activities and can be indifferent to sporting ones, I completely disagree with these views for two reasons.
Firstly, not all youngsters have singing talents and they need to invest a huge amount of money in instruments if they want to pursue them. Knowing that young people haven’t made money yet so paying for them is an impossible task. Whereas sports are suitable for everyone because some sports don’t even ask for professional tools or devices like jogging, aerobics, and yoga, people only need normal health to do sports. Another thing that makes cultural activities impossible for most young people is that they have to attend a place like a theatre that has no privacy and everybody has to share the same space.
Secondly, doing sports is linked to many normal operations of organs. It not only strengthens our muscles but also brings about positive mental health. It means sports practices can decrease the stress level we gain at work and give better growth to our bodies. Many studies have been executed and generally have shown that doing sports can double your productivity in daily routines.
To sum it up, doing sports could promote a positive attitude toward work as well as prevent us from fever or health decline. For that reason, it is irreplaceable by any different activity and frequent sporting practice would be encouraged to decline pandemics.
