The great things that happened in this world are the results of imagination. In most professional and academic fields, imagination plays a very important role. But, imagination leads to the beneficial products only through the way of knowledge. Imagination is beneficial , but knowledge is also the main requirement for any development.
In one prospectus, imagination enables us to think something new about something. It provides a way to consider various new possibilities to yield new outcomes. But, to yield something beneficial and to apply the imagined model in actual, one needs the knowledge of that particular field. Without knowledge it is quite tedious to get a desireable result. Like all major discoverers of the world, they imagine something different from the other people. But, they were able to convert their imagination into reality only with the support of their knowledge. So, imagination leads to bring new ideas but knowledge is necessary to convert them into reality.
Secondly, it is the knowledge of something that enables us to imagine something new. Knowledge made the basis for imagination. The major discoveries of the world occurs because the basic knowledge of some particular subject enable the scientists to imagine something new from the prevailing thoughts. More sound the knowledge of a subject, more will be the chances to imagine something beneficial and feasible. Without knowledge the imagination of anything is like shooting in the dark. So, knowledge prvides a direction to the action of imagination.
So, it is clear that imagination and knowledge both are the vital componenets of most professions and academic fields. These both run abreast to yield something new that would be beneficial for society. Hence, imagination is as much important as knowledge.
