The charts below show the results of a survey on happiness ratings for married and unmarried people in the US, and the effect of children on the overall ratings of married couples.

The bar graphs illustrate the statistics on the happiness ratings for wedded people and single people in different age groups and the happiness ratings when married people have children in the US.

In general, it is clear that the level of happiness in married people is higher than single people and the effect of children on the happiness of wedded people is trivial.

In terms of married people, the proportion of happiness in different age groups just have a minimal movement, the ratings for the people fell into 18-20, 30-35-40, 50-64 and over 65 age groups is 45%, 44%, 40% and 44%, respectively. The people aged 65 and over is highest ranking in single people with 34% whilst other groups just have around 21,22 % level of happiness.

Moreover, married couples who have children over 18 years old will have the lowest data, at 41% in the married people group. That have children under 18 have the highest happiness with 44% while people who do not have children still be happy in your life with 44%.
