Overall, the chart groups students according to subjects and divides these subjects groups into a male and female categories. There here are some foolproof differences on subjects chosen between the two genders.
Around 24, 000 female chose social sciences higher than the males at about 14, 000. Moreover, social science is also the subject with the highest total number of choices compared to other subjects. There were approximately 18, 000 girls and 2, 000 boys in Languages, making it the least popular subject overall (2, 000). The number of boys enrolled in sciences was over 20, 000, which was roughly twice as many as the number of females at around 10,000. As for Mathematics, females stood at 4, 000, which was nowhere near as close as males with 18, 000.
On the other hand, the remaining subjects for both genders were not as popular, Humanities, The Arts, Literature, Law. 15, 000 males chose literature, compared to 12, 000 females. In Humanities, the net figure was the same for both sexes at 12, 000 each. Arts were mostly dominated by females with 9, 000 vs 3, 000 (males), whereas the law was dominated by males with 10, 000 vs 6000 (females).
