The two pie charts below show some employment patterns in Great Britain in 1992. Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Given are the two pie charts delineating the proportion of employment patterns in manual and non-manual between two genders in Great Britain in 1992.
It is conspicuous that the non-manual fields ( managerial and professional, clerical or related, and other non-manual) attract more female employees than males while the reverse was true for manual jobs ( craft or similar, general laborers and other manuals).
When it comes to the rate of manual employment of females, general laborers consisted of only 1% which is 2% higher than craft and similar. That number of other manual jobs was much better with 27% reported. In terms of that pattern of males, general laborers contained the fewest with only one-fiftieth percent. It seems that craft or similar and other manual sectors are commonly interested by males with 24% and 26% respectively.
Regarding the figure for non-manual jobs done by females, clerical or related occupied most with 31% surveyed. Following that were managerial and professional with 29% and other non-manual with 9%. In comparison with females’ rates, males perceptibly had lower percentages, managerial and professional consisted most with 36%, followed by two other sectors with only six times fewer.
