Integrated- job satisfaction

Essay topics:

Integrated- job satisfaction

The reading passage indicates that job satisfaction is the fruit of three basic concepts; sense of community among workers, sense of security in the work place, and autonomy. It suggests that social organizations will provide all three. The lecture bolsters the claim by illustrating an example of small work groups.

It says that in small work groups, consisted of 3 to 15 workers plus a lead, members have positive impacts on each others' attitude, motive, and productivity that improves the quality of the goods or services the company provides. This is in agreement with the passage that says, social organization in work places helps the people to be recognized because of their skills and their accomplishments, which generates a sense of community.

Moreover, team members will perceive their performance as an influential factor in the overall success of the whole company. Thus, they will have a feeling of personal fulfillment while cooperating with their team members in accomplishing the system's goal. This is in accordance with the passage that says security comes from the confidence to the system.

Finally, in a small group, people will experience their autonomy by participating in decision makings and evaluation of the outcomes. So they feel they have control on what is happening in their work place. This endorses the passage that says if employees believe their decisions have value, they enjoy their autonomy and they will feel satisfied.
