(minimum word count: 50 words, maximum word count: 500 words)
It is a human nature to move forward, have aspirations, plans and dreams. Some life situations or internal changes lead us to the need to develop the networking and leadership skills.
Since I have been both working and studying in the United States, UAE, and Turkey and due to my nature of profession I have a big established business network. Following are some examples which can show my networking abilities.
While I was participating at the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship program in the United States I have established strong and close relationships with almost all fellows from 193 countries and still we keep in touch so our friendship continue regardless of time and geography of our locations.
Here in Astana I am a member at the Expat Community “InterNations”, Astana Toastmasters Club, and Charity Fund “Shugyla”, which allow me to build and expand my network within the local and international network communities. Additionally, on a business-oriented social networking LinkedIn website I have almost 900 professional connections and on popular Facebook website I have around 1300 friends from all over the world, whom I know personally and regularly keeping in touch with them.
I have participated in various international events. In 2008 I won an award from the Volkswagen Foundation to participate in summer school titled “Germany, EU and Central Asia” at Justus-Liebeg University of Giessen and Institute for European Politics, where a group of experts from Central Asian countries and China discussed and shared knowledge on international security.
In 2012 I was honored to be a speaker at the 5th Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA) in Dushanbe, I was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and this year I received an invitation from H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to be a speaker again at the 6th RECCA.
Other than that I have well established professional relations (collaboration) with international organizations such as UNDP, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, USAID and summer of this year I have established cooperation with the Kazakh-British Centre for Competitiveness.
To sum up, I will be glad to organize local and international events in collaboration with other Chevening Alumni so it will be a great opportunity for networking and it will bring good impact to discuss and brainstorm different global issues.
