Recently, whether to work with groupmembers or to work just by oneself or not has become one of the most controversial topics among the general public. Some individuals are strong believers of independent work, while others prefer to work with team members. From my standpoint, I totally agree with the latter one that one should work in a group.
To begin with, cooperating with other people can help develop a good relationship with collegues, which may natually develop into friendship. To be more specific, interacting with team members, like discussing the topic of the project, talking about how the research will go on or solving the problem together, can boost the positive atomoshpere among people, which decrease the distance while increase the kindness. This kind of cooperation makes contributions to making friends. For example, during the time when I was doing a project with my classmates, whom I am unfamilar with at the beginning of the semestar, I have developed a fabulious friendship with one of my classmates, whose name is CIci. At that time, I felt frustrated and depressed when the problem puzzled me, afraid of affecting the procession of the project. Detecting my depressive motion, Cici came to help me find out the solution of my problems patiently and encouraging me to face up these issues confidently. With the favor of Cici, I excellently finished my own part and the project was handed in at time. Ever since then, Cici becomes my best friend. Therefore, I definitely believe that group work can bring people kind relationships and helps people make friends.
In addition, working with other group members saves a lot of time and is more efficient than working alone, for that group memebers can communicate with eacher other and when facing with tackles or meeting with conflicts, all the members in the group can resolve them together. Now matter how time-consuming the task is, if the whole team combine their talent and face with the problem together, the goal will be achieved successfully with higher quality and less time.
Furthermore, one can find out ones defeciency and learn from other members in the group.
Just as an old saying goes, ‘One can learn from every one beside him.’, we can find out others’ advantages and absorb what they do well. Besides, from comparing us with others, we can easily detect what we are in short of, such as patiency, inconfidence, unkindness and so on.
In conlusion, I strongly hold the opinion that the professor should require students work in group, which benefits students a lot.
