There are more young leaders today in all fields than in past. What are the reasons behind this? Do you think this is as positive or negative development?
It is true that we are seeing increased participation of young leaders in almost all the verticals. There are several factors that are the contributing in this trend, and we will be discussing those all in this essay. However, people's views are divided on this development but I believe that it is a positive sign and this trend has to be encouraged.
Nowadays, innovation has become an integral part of executing any idea not only in industry as well as in politics and social service. Therefore, it is imperative that a leader has to be dynamic and agile enough like who can oversee the outcome and strategies the process of implementation for better outcomes. Hence, It is one of driving factor which is making a young person to place in decision making spot. For an instance, lets take a glance at political campaign; earlier it used to be run like giving speech and pasting pamphlets across the city and it was costly and less effective, but if we take a look now, it has been transformed in to social media driven perception making process and it is more optimized and cost effective and sole reason behind this innovation is participation of early cadre of a political party in campaign.
As far as, implications of this development is concerned I accept it as a positive move because we make a process more effective it requires new talent induction that can bring new ideas to refine the existing one but at the same time seniors capabilities can not be overlooked they are also chipping in hand to hand by sharing their experience and valuable inputs. For example, a young leader is inducting new ideas but at the same time senior member also helping him/her out by supervising him on the basis of his/her past experience.
To conclude, there are several reasons behind youngers are getting appointed leadership positions nowadays than previously but the main reason behind it their capability of devising new ideas and ability of implementing them in short time span for better throughput. It is a good trend because it is bringing best outcome compare to older one.
