The reading and listening materials have a conflict of opinion about who built stones at Mystery Hill. The writer puts forward that the stones were made by European, which is contradicted by the following lecture.
Firstly, the writer claims that tne agrrangement of stones at Mystery Hill is similar to that of stones strutures in Eurpe, such as Stonehenge. However, the professor casts doubt on this opinion by saying that the stones at Mystery Hill are located on a farm, which means, to attract tourists, the owner of the farm may move stone to imitate stone structures in Europe.
Secondly, the auther argues that some early types of Eurpean writing were carved into a flat stone at Mystery Hil, while the lecture views this issue from an opposite angle. According to her, these line do not prove to be European writing and look more like marks left by farming tools.
Thirdly, the passage states that the large stones at Mistery Hill were cut from the ground and reshaped by some methods which are widely practiced in Europe in the past. By contrast, in accordance with the professor this claim does not hold water. It is because some jewerls made by Native Americans were found which have marks as those on stones' surface at Mystery Hill.
