Task 1: The chart below shows changes in the number of international students in Australia in 2019 and 2020. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The bar chart compare the number of oversea students in Australia from six nations between 2019 and 2020. Overall, while there was a downward trend in the China, Brazil and Malaysia students, it was seen an increase in 3 other countries. Chinese students reached the highest number and students from Malaysia were in the lowest point during the period.
Looking at China, Brazil and Malaysia, the figures began at 182,325; 22,859 and 21,734 students in 2019. The number students came from China experienced a significant decline to nearly 20,000 students (at 167,568). Brazilian students decreased slightly to 21,086, while the figure in Malaysia seen the same decline with China, reaching at aroung 19,500 students.
Turning to India, Nepal and Vietnam, the figure in Indian students shown a dramatic growth during the period, from 92,024 to 108,049, becoming the second highest point. Nepal began at 46,328 students, then increased over 4,100 students after a year. Students from Vietnam started at 22,204 students before surpassing Brazil and became the fourth with 23,268 students at the end of the period.
