The charts below show the popularity of different political parties in a country before and after the general election. The election was won by the Conservative Party and they formed a government with the Liberal Democrats. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison wherever relevant.
Given is the chart displaying the popularity of different parties prior and after the elections. The decline in the popularity of the party that won the elections i.e. the Conservative Party is clear from the graph. Before the elections the party had a share of 41% in popularity pie chart which reduced to 35% after one year of the elections. The popularity of this party actually increased to 45% after six months of elections but there might be some of its policies which led to its decline in the later six months.
Liberal Democrats' popularity decreased by a proportionate margin after forming government with Conservatives going from 19% to 10% and ultimately to 8%. The Green Party remained consistently popular before as well as 6 months after the elections but it also saw a decline in its popularity after 1 year completion of the elections. The Labour Party became a bit less popular after 6 months of elections but regained it in a period of 1 year.
The Undecided is the only one whose popularity has risen in this period. By just a mere of 4% before elections it reached to 10% in next 6 months and then to 20% in this complete one year. The lack of ruling government's efficiency could be the reason behind this gain in popularity by Undecided.
