I agree the Universities and colleges should to receive equal financial support sports as classes. Even though the classes are important in all cases, the sports represent importance in the student life. Sports activities not only are distraction, even a way professionalization, develop of talent and healthy life to improve habits as a way to prevention problems in the future.
Firstly, some students really have sport talent. The colleges must to offer scholarships to develop the student talent. Sport is a special ability that not all the people have. There is a lot kind of intelligent according some pedagogics theories. Sports require of a specific intelligence. Students could be achieve big goals if they are dedicated with they full enjoy. Become athletes is not only a hobby, it could be a profession.
Secondly, students, who are dedicated to sports some times, represent the nation in Olympics games. In this way they can provide important recognition to the country winning medals. The profits of a sport playing is high as another scholar disciplines, even though some time the salary is better than a doctor salary. In several cases athletes receive millionaires contracts by a specific brand to be the brand image.
Finally, nowadays practicing sports is an important activity. One of the most common problems of health is the obesity. For example: In several countries as México and EUA, obesity is a problem of public health, is cheaper the prevention than the treatment for the government. For that reasons, the colleges and universities need to improve the financial support to this kind of activities. The young people in the colleges could achieve news habits than an old person in this way is a good decision to the universities.
