Always Professors found in university classrooms, offices and libraries doing research and lecturing the students.
They also give lecture in media as well. There are following reasons for this as far as I know.
First of all, they think that by talking in TV or radio they will have reputation and more respect in the community. For instance my other is professor of university in Iran and she never wanted to talk in TV or Radio because it was her attitude. However if it was me I would definitely wanted to be in TV and Radio because I love to be famous.
Secondly they will gain some benefits by being a professor for example in Iran they can transfer their children to university without having top score. My brother had this benefit that he was transferred by free. At his age everyone could transfer but with extraordinary money.
Moreover, they will have some extracurricular activities with young people that no one in their age can have this opportunity. My mother went hiking with them and travel to other city with them.
Finally, based on the reasons I mentioned above I thought that being a professor in the university is the job that I will definitely like to get in the future if I get the chance
