Question: Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how the proposal discussed in the lecture would solve the specific challenges described in the reading passage.
The article states about the presence of the human on venus is quite impossible. However, the lecture completely opposes the point made in the reading. The professor says that it certainly possible.
First, the article posits that venus have high atmospheric pressure than earth and due to this stations and human will crashed if they will land on venus. This point is contradicted by the professor. he says that this problem will be solved if the station float above the 50 kilometers above the ground like the balloon. He further explains this point by the physical fact, higher the atmosphere leads to decrease in the pressure. Eventually, no station will crash.
Second, the reading claims that human can not survive on venus because there is no water and oxygen and we could not supply enough water and oxygen from the earth to the venus. However, the lecturer states that venus have other gasses like carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide and by the chemical process we can produce enough oxygen and water which will necessary for human survival.
Finally, the reading states that on venus we could not produce electricity because clouds are blocking sunlight and it could not reach the ground. The professor contradicts that point by saying that it is true, could reflect sunlight, however, the cloud thickness is not considerable. Furthermore, he explains that the solar power cells can collect sunlight from the above and below of clouds and by that way we can produce electricity.
