The given first graph illustrates the change in number of marriages and divorces in millions in the USA over a period of four decades. The second chart compares the Americans adults status in two year 1970 and 2002.
According to the first bar graph, there was no change marriage part between 1070 and 1980, 2.5 million marriages registered in America. whereas the number gradually decreased and reached to 2 millions by the year 2002.
In the divorced case, the number of divorces were around 1 millions during 1970. After 10 decade, numbers rapidly increased 1.5 million. Finally number again reached to back position 1 million in 2000 year.
From the second graph, we can observe that in 1970, the 70 % America adults got married, which was highest percentage rate in marriage status. While, during the year 2002 , the marriage percentage slightly down the 60 % of adult Americans were married in 2002. there had been less divorces figure in 1970 and reached at peak almost 15 million after 3 decades.
We found that 70 % adult were married but 15% adults got never married in 1970. While, the percentages 5 % increased in 2000.
To conclude, The windowed percentage were 1ess down 10 % in both 1970, 2000.
