Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Other believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults.
Some people believe children should learn more about cooperation instead of competition. In this essay, I would describe the both views.
To begin with, involving children in competitions motivate them to be more creative and could struggle in any circumstances. Because the rivalry becomes more intense, people need to improve day by day. This imposes people to do the best method in their life and train their mental to be strong. Moreover, almost all of institutions and government provide scholarships and they could sign up for university or jobs easily due to their achievement as a result of competitions. For example, students who are in top ten in their school usually could join to the university without taking any tests as a merit because they have worked hard since the beginning.
On the other hand, there are two main reasons for teamwork. Firstly, the collaboration could be a tool to grow the sense of caring about each other. Basically, humans are social creatures that could not live by themselves and always need each other. For instance, when I was in the university, I was not proficient in the business course and my friend had difficulty built IT programming. Therefore we assisted each other by sharing our knowledge. Secondly, tasks’ load are not too heavy and they could be solved quickly. The workload that they carry could be reduced due to the support that they gain, so the duty would be as easy as pie and resolved faster. Additionally, that change would grow their communication skill.
All in all, I think that study individually could make children become more selfish. Consequently, I personally agree that children need to be taught to work together to help one another in a good way.
