Two charts illustrate the information on the percentage of broad users and the increasing of subscribers in different countries between 2002 and 2003.
Overall, it is clear that Korean users took up the largest rate, whereas its counterpart in the UK was less preferable in bar chart. However, the figure for broadband subscribers had a downward trend in five nations at first half 2002 and 2003, except for Germany.
As can be seen from the bar chart, there was an upward trend for using broadband service in all countries. Korean people was a major contributor to the number of broadband usage, just under 20% of users in 2002 and nearly a quarter of users in 2003. The proportion of American individuals was at the second position for using broadband service in 2002 with just under 10%, while the figure for Japan were more preferable for this service than the other country (except for Korean) about 5%. The UK had less interest in applying broadband technology in their life with the lowest rate in five countries.
On the other hand, The UK and the Japan constituted for the highest rate about growth of broadband subscriber in the first half 2002, 77% and 112% respectively. Although there was a significant decline in using this service, however, they still remained the major contributor, 59% in Britain and 40% in Japan in 2003. Whereas the figure for Germany had an upward trend of using broadband network from 16% to 29%
