The passage states that there are serious problems and limitations in Britain, which old cultural artifacts are faced with them and provides three of these problems that the science of archaeology studied. The lecturer, nevertheless, disproves these problems and explains that construction projects changed and improved all three ideas.
First, the article claims that many valuable artifacts were lost to construction projects and builders did not preserve the artifacts. Conversely, the lecturer opposes this point by saying that the valuable sites have to be examined by builders and archaeologists. The professor contends that they make a plan to preserving the archaeologically precious artifacts.
In addition, the reading posits that the financial support for archaeological research was inadequate through government funds and grants. On the other hand, the professor argues that financial support will be paid by the construction company. According to the lecturer, new construction in British cities, towns are new sources of financial support for archaeologists.
Finally, the passage expresses that it was difficult to have a career in archaeology and there were never many positions available. Quite on the contrary, the lecturer emphasizes that there are lots of career for archaeologists before starting the construction project. We also learn the number of careers will be increased by examining the site, preserving plans and processing the data.
