The table below gives information about spending on different advertisement methods of four car companies in UK in 2008.
The table compares expenditure on methods of advertisement in four car companies in the UK in 2008.
It is clear that every company mainly advertised through televisions while radio advertisements accounted for the least proportions.
The percentage of television ads of Lotus was 39.14%, ahead of Bentley with 36.91%, followed by 25.74% and 22.96% of Land Rover and MG respectively. In terms of web page ads, Lotus had the highest proportion with 25.15% as opposed to the lowest of 10,07% of MG. Additionally, Bentley matched Land Rover in spending on this advertisement method (equally 15%).
However, Land Rover dominated in magazine advertisements (23.02%), creating a dramatic gap to other companies ( 14.51% ofMG and equally 10% of Bentley and Lotus). When it comes to Newspaper ads, Lotus accounted for 9.51%, followed by 8% of Land Rover and MG, which was also twice as much as 4.43% of Bentley. Finally, MG took the leading role in spending on radio ads (7.98%) while others remained below 4.5%.
