The passage states about the three methods which can be used to solve the problem of declying frog population. But, the lecturer talks about various problems or negative consequences associated with the each mothod.
Firstly, the passage states that if the laws prohibit farmers from using harmful pesticides near frog population, it would significantly reduce the harm pesticides cause to frogs. However, the lecturer states that most of the farmers use pesticides to their crops for better growth. If they stop using pesticides then there will be higher chances of crop failure. If law is enforced on the one area then they become jealous with other areas' farmers.
Secondly, the passage claims that antifungal medication and treatments can be applied with heat to protect sensitive frog populations from infection. But, the lecturer says that the treatment and medicines need to be applied on individual frog. It is very complicated task because we have to capture each frog and apply the medication. Also, We have to apply on each new generation frogs. So it is very complicated and complex task.
FInally, according to the passage frog habitats are threatened by human activites, including excessive water use or the draining of wetlands to make them suitable for development. In contrast, the lecturer opines that the global warming is main factor behind it. It is draining many wetlands and because of it many species became extinct.
