Nowadays, it is necessary to get a higher education to obtain a better job. Therefore, everyone wants to go to a university to broaden knowledge or obtain special knowledge that related to their future job. I disagree with the statement that higher education should be available to everybody. I believe that people need to take entrance exams or possess academic requirements in order to attend a university.

To begin with, the subjects we learn in university is complex and difficult, so it is important to master whatever the subjects we have learned in high school. Without having fundamental knowledge, it is almost impossible to keep up with academic classes. If a person cannot follow classes, he or she would be bored and demotivated, which leads to failing grades. Besides, when professors teach a organic chemistry class in university, they assume that students already have a basic understanding of science that high school students must know. If they are not sure about the level of the students they teach, it is very hard for them to present lectures. Enforcing entrance exams help professors to organize and create the best classes they can.

In addition to the previous point, only motivated and determined students should receive higher education. University education is not inexpensive, so if people do not study hard to obtain academic requirements in high school, they should not go to a university. It would be waste of money. Students should have a good idea of what they want to study and what kind of job they want to do in the future.

To sum up, although some people may think that everybody have equal right to receive higher education, I believe that universities should have entrance exams to accept students.
