The pie charts give information about the number of food budget for family meals stay in restaurant and self-cooking at home, whereas the line graph illustrates the figure of meals eaten in two different places are fast food and sitdown restaurant from 1970 to 2000.
Overall, the number of family meals stay in restaurant was increased in every ten years given. At the same time, fast food restaurant was significantly rose compared to sit-down restaurant.
Looking more closely at the pie charts, we can see that in 1970 with one in ten in restaurant meals which were the lowest percentage and nine-tenths self-cooking at home. To 1980 and 1990, the percentage of family preferred eaten in restaurant continued to increase steadily reach 15% and 35% respectively, mean self-cooking at home was decreased but it still accounted for the higher percentage than restaurant. Noticeable, in 2000, there was equal to half in both places.
According to the line graph, in the 1970s both restaurants with the same started point about 20% and same increased trend, but fast food restaurant rose sharply through the period, exceeded the sit-down restaurant in 1980s and reached almost 90% in 2000s. In comparison, the sitdown restaurant significantly less interested, approximately 50%.
