The table graph shows percentages of national consumer expenditure on edible items, clothing and leisure and education in five different countries namely Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in the year 2002. overall, most of the countries spend more on food, drinks and tobacco in which Turkey spent most.
In food, drinks and tobacco category Turkey spent 32 percent which was highest closely followed by Ireland with 28 percent. The percentages of Italy, Spain and Sweden were under 20 percent (16, 18 and 15 percent). On the other hand, in Italy people were most fashion conscious and spent 9 percent which was most of all. Ireland, Spain and Turkey percentages were under 7 percent. Whereas, Sweden spent least about 5.4 percent. Similarly in leisure and education Turkey was largest spender with 4 percent.Italy and Sweden were hovering around 3 percent, while Ireland and Spain on 2 percent.
