Some people fear that technology is gradually taking over control of our lives, while others think is has lead to many positive developments in all aspects of their lives. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Nowadays, technology has come to pervade every dimension of our lives. Inevitably, technological improvements have been parts of our lives. In another word, we are handling with this in our daily routines ranging from household chores to communicating with our friends. Although, technology has made our performance in life easier and more efficient, it is lead to switching of face-to-face communication into virtual relationships.
On the one hand, technology has made our lives easier to control. Taking housework, for instance, cooking is more desirable and less time consuming in microwaves. However, we can quickly access anything we need at any moment via Internet. Moreover, we can easily go to shopping centers through our computers and do loads of different shopping in the blink of an eye. Obviously, we owe all these considerable improvements to the technological progressions.
On the other hand, one of the most considerable issues that technology has had negative impact on, is communication system. Clearly, lots of different social networks such as facebook, twitter, livechat and the like, have made contacts easier and faster, though, they have pushed juveniles away from each other. In other words, before all these virtual networks get prominent, juveniles used to visit their friends, go to cinema with them or hold a party. Therefore, relationships were more real and closer. In addition, young people would learn the ABC of communication. Therefore, technology has damaged their ability of making connection to the society.
Taking all above into account, I am inclined to believe that technology has rooted in our lives. As a result, it has brought comfort to our lives. However, technology must be taken under control, otherwise, it can devastate adults’ social skills.
