Many students have to live with their roommates in universities.What are the qualities of good roommate.reasons and examples

Nowadays education and career plays an important role in ones life. We come across the situations where we have to stay apart from our parents and stay with friends while going to universities. Apart from this, finding a roommate with ideal qualities is a big deal. I think following qualities are necessary for a person to be called as a good roommate.

Firstly, roommates should be helpful in each and every step. Its good if they become good friends and try to understand each other. We were away from our parents and there would be no person better than a roommate to understand us and help us if we are facing any problem. For example, in my schooling, I used to stay in a dormitary with one of my classmate. Once I was suffering from a severe fever , which made me severely ill. I was unable to attend the classes even. Then my roommate took personal care of me. He took me to the hospital and helped me in several ways until i was cured completely.

Secondly, roommates should not interfere with our personal life. They should not try to influence others. They should peep into my personal life and should not question about my personal habits. They should be friendly but not as much as to interfere into others personal life.They should not disturb one’s privacy. For instance, when I was studying in university, one of my roommate used to ask questions much of the time about my personal issues . He used to agitate me with his behaviour. I feel irritated with his questions . I advised him not to interfere in my personal life.From then he did not interfere in my personal life.

To add up, they should be as a good study partner, respect others and their ideas and be friendly. I think these are the qualities in a person which make them as a good roommate.
