The line graph compares the quantity of foreign travelers visiting three natural destinations in a European nation from 1987 to 2007.
It is clear that those places attracted more visitors over that period, with the most significant change belonging to the figure for the lakes. Coastal areas were usually the favorite destination.
In 1987, 40 thousand foreigners paid visits to places near the sea, doubling the number of international holidaymakers to mountainous ones. Similarly, the later was twofold higher than the quantity of visits to the lakes, at 10 thousand.
From that time onwards, all the places welcomed more people from other countries. To specify, after a marginal initial fall of only about 5 thousand in the first five years, the number of overseas tourists to coastal areas climbed moderately to a peak of around 75 thousand in 2007. Likewise, the mountains, despite many erratic periods, experienced a 15 thousand rise over the period shown. The number of visitors to the lakes had rocketed to peak at 75 thousand in 2002 before decreasing by roughly 25 thousand for the last five years.
