The reading and lecture are both discuss about the pros and cons of online and traditional encyclopedias. The passage conveys that online source of encyclopedia pose numerous problems and less reliable compared to the text. The lecturer casts doubt on this idea of the author by several points that are contrary claiming that traditional form is subjected to more errors.
Firstly, the lecturer states that mistakes made in the book form cannot be erased easily and will remain unchanged for decades. Accordingly, she explains that it can be inaccurate. However, the author claims that online articles can be written by any personal who may be lacking credentials as such can produce inaccurate publication while text is written by trained expert. The lecture casts doubt on this by claiming that online errors can be edited and rectified easily.

In the reading it is asserted that there are more chances of fabricated and corrupted news to be reported in communal online encyclopedia than the printed version. This is being challenged by lecturer stating that they are released in the protected form.
Finally, the text can only publish limited materials in contrast the online version has plenty of space which allows a diverse range of information for the users. However, the passage contents that online encyclopedia takes too much emphasis on the popular and insignificant matters. This is opposed in the audio by saying that information is not limited to users but a variety of topics related is available according to their needs.
