Studying in a forign country exposes students to cultures, languages and social values that differ from their own. It often inspires them and acts as a catalyst to instill passion for learning. Though it is often a positive experience I argue that it may not be so for all the students in all the conditions. Here goes my line of reasoning:
Sending students in a forign country requieres financial resources to support student travel and boarding in that forign country. Though it can often be a productive experience for the students, high cost of such programms may render them out of reach of some students, universities and states. Instead of sending the students abroad same money could be invested in the home country to build better educational facilities. To form a multicultural enviornment, a quota could be reserved for forien students to study in home universities and it could be more cost effective at the same time being as useful as sending the local students abroad.
There is a threat of racist violence, terrorist attacks and language prejudices present for the students when they land a forign country. It might jeopardize the student lives unnecessarily. The point is that though study in a forign country could be a fruitful activity for a student, at times it may turn out to be physically and morally harmful. Though such events are rare, they still can not be ignored altogather.
When students are away from their home country, it is possible that they become victim to spy agents from rival countries. It is also possible that they become victim to some malignant agenda in that country. On their return back to home state these students might become more of a security threat than being benificient to the country. Consequently we may infer that such scenarios, though not percieved so harmful by the students, are nevertheless very distructive to the nation that established the programm to send the students abroad.
It can not be denied that forign visits can have multitude f positive effects on students such as learning new cultures, new languages and getting themselves acquanted with state of the art research being conducted in the visited nations. This brings a lot of inspiration and positive energy in the students. However to summarize my essay, I would say that there are some parameters that need to be taken into account before deciding that a term in forign country is always good for the students. The statement does lose its effect if the cost of attending a forign college do not merit the benefits obtained. Similalrly this might jeoperdize the naive students to mallicious forign propaganda and spy recruits from enemy states. In a nutshell, I conditionally agree with the issue statement. Students can get good education in a forign state but might get exposed to some dangers at the sametime. Additionally large costs of studyning abroad may not be a best option at all times.
