The following appeared in an article written by Dr. Karp, an anthropologist. “Twenty years ago, Dr. Field, a noted anthropologist, visited the island of Tertia and concluded from his observations that children in Tertia were reared by an entire village rather than by their own biological parents. However, my recent interviews with children living in the group of islands that includes Tertia show that these children spend much more time talking about their biological parents than about other adults in the village. This research of mine proves that Dr. Field's conclusion about Tertian village culture is invalid and thus that the observation-centered approach to studying cultures is invalid as well. The interview-centered method that my team of graduate students is currently using in Tertia will establish a much more accurate understanding of child-rearing traditions there and in other island cultures.”
Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.
Dr. Karp claims that Dr Field's observations on the children in Teria is invalid, and also that Dr Field's approach, observation-centered, is inaccurate way. He also claim that his approach, interview-centered way, is the best approach to accurately understand of the child-rearing tradition in Teria and the other island. The author of this argument, Dr Karp, made many of unjustified assumptions and because of that his it remains weak.
First important problem with Dr. Karp’ argument is not mentioning in his findings the ramifications of the five years period between the two studies. Traditions and the way people live always change in time, and therefore the way people raise their children in Teria might have changed in these two years. Taking for example, the capital of Yemen, Sana'a, the people of this city was living totally different life five years ago because there was no civil war between their residents. Looking at them now, they more aggressive and less welcoming for tourism. Similar thing could have been happened in Teria, the five years that might made them change the way they raise their children. Thus, it is very essential that the author mention the changes that have took place in Teria in the five years period, and without this piece of information no conclusive results can be attained.
Although if we assumed that there was no change happened during the five years period between the two studies, the fact that Dr. Field used different approach than Dr. Krap imply this difference is the reason behind the two different results. Not using identical ways to gather results most of the time produce different results. For example if someone made a survey using a website, the people participating might answer the questions very rapidly just because no one is observing them. However, if the survey is applied in a tradition way, asking people in the street, the results for sure will be more accurate because when people are asked face to face they will try to give an valid answers as much as possible. The same thing can be applied for the different approaches by the two doctors. Probably the children who were interviewed by Dr. Karp tried to give a favorable answers because they are afraid of their parents.
In conclusion, not providing an information regarding the changes that might have been happened for the Teria's way of raising their children in the last five years, also not showing the differences between the two doctors' approaches are reasons that make Dr. Karp an unwarranted claim.

Argument 1 -- OK, but don't refer an example out of the topic:
Taking for example, the capital of Yemen, Sana'a, the people of this city was living totally different life five years ago because there was no civil war between their residents. Looking at them now, they more aggressive and less welcoming for tourism.
and it is not five years ago, but Twenty years ago.
Argument 2 -- NOT OK
The correct arguments:
1. whether or not Tertia and the surrounding island group have changed significantly in the past 20 years
2. the exact locations where Dr. Karp’s interviews took place. --'children living in the group of islands that includes Tertia'
3. we would also need to learn more about the interview questions that Dr. Karp’s team used.
4. how to prove 'conclusion that interview-centered methods are inherently more valid than observational-centered approaches'?
