Governments should focus on solving the immediate problems of today rather than on trying to solve the anticipated problems of the future.
The author asserts that the problems we face today must be given a higher priority than focusing on the problems that could occur in the future.I mostly agree with this statement as , though the problems we face must be given maximum attention , there must be efforts to solve crucial anticipated problems.
What we do today has a direct or an indirect impact on tomorrow. The problems we solve today may help us understand problems that can occur in the future. For example, in the earliest of civilizations when people were tired of carrying goods on their own , they tried to solve the problem for years . The solution , was the creation of the wheel which is a novelty for the modern civilization today. The future is greatly impacted by our actions today. The problems we face today such as pollution , extinction of species that have no perfect solution as of today . These must be solved immediately as the environment is degrading and has an effect not only on humans but on the ecosystem . If these problems are not solved today , they will be the most important and critical problems of tomorrow.
In addition to emphasizing on the problems we face today, solving them can in fact lead to the solution of unexpected problems that could have occurred in the future. These solutions may have been the by products that could solve more problems in the future. Corruption manifests in every form of government is some form or the other. This problem is not only the problem of today but of the tomorrow as well as it is has an impact on every person in the society in some way or the other . It must be solved today to avoid unprecedented problems of tomorrow. It can not only make the governments more efficient , but also make the lives of people better and could possibly eliminate problems such as poverty and unemployment .
Nevertheless , we must try to solve problems that could be anticipated and require immediate attention from now. Anticipated problems which cannot be solved immediately must be gradually solved . For example, global warming , which could years or centuries to be eliminated must be given attention today. Also ,the rate at which we are producing wastes is extremely high compared the rate at which they are getting degraded. The future could an environment that has completely degraded to a barren land filled with non-degradable plastics. This anticipated problem must be given immediate attention.Though it may not a have great impact on today but can affect the future in a drastic way. Though there have been efforts to use "eco-friendly" bio-degradable products , they must enforced on a larger scale to have a strong impact that can eradicate the problem completely.Other anticipated problems include issues such as the exhaustion of natural resources for a solution must be found soon.
In conclusion, all immediate problems must be given priority so they can make our lives easier and help us live in a more efficient manner . Problems we face today will be problems of tomorrow if left unsolved . But problems of tomorrow that are already anticipated must also be given diligent attention to make the future better . We must not be selfish and make our lives simpler , but also consider what could impact the society in the future and hence make an effort to solve anticipated problems as well.
