People’s living on this planet, each person, is very much different from other person in so many perspectives. Each person has different way of thinking, beliefs, background, religion etc. A person’s behavior is determined by so many things such as social, religious, governmental and finally his own thinking and beliefs. So up to some extent it is true that people’s behavior is determined by forces but not complete true.
Each person is living in a society, which has a government and some rules and regulations. So at the social level a person’s behavior is determined by social customs or beliefs. For example In India, in so many regions there is a custom of dowry. Whenever a girl’s parent does their daughter marriage, it is custom that he gave some rupees to the groom’s father as dowry along with the marriage. There are so many adverse consequences of this custom on the society, but still people follow it as it is a custom. People are more concerned about what society, other people will say if they don’t take dowry or if they don’t give it. But it is up to an individual’s thinking also. There are some people who refuse to such custom and abandon this. So some people in society praise them while some criticizes them.
But there are some situations or place some places where people has to behave according to the rules and regulations. Such as while doing some government work or a work which has its predetermined way of doing. For example, if a person is driving a vehicle then he has to follow the traffic rules and regulations. In such situations it is driven by forces. Despite of this if anybody broke the rule or does misbehavior then he has to pay for it.
So though people’s behavior is determined by forces, it is also determined by a person’s own way of making it. If a person deny following some forces, such as some social or religious beliefs, which he feels incorrect then he can do that. For this he might suffer from social condemnation but for a person who don’t care about what other people think about it, he would not mind that. While in case of some forces, such as government rules, each person has to behave in the same determined way.
