The positive usefulness of scandal is an important way in which a society can pay their maximum attention towards any problem that has escalated or is about to. According to David Jimmy, "Scandals brings up issues that are hidden and makes it to accentuate in public and calls for exigent solution."
In politics, so many things happen that most of the citizens are unaware of; politicians behaving in all sort of manner, making rules that will only benefit them to do all manner of dishonest things. For example, the former president of Lybia name "Gadafi," was at the center of a political scandal; he wanted to make the presidency a position for a life time tenure for himself. The problematic situation for his continous leardership called for a change in government and the whole situation was resolved.
A series of financial scandals are all over in the newspaper pages lamenting on some of the politicians who embezzle money meant for the development of the state and country. This kind of behaviour from the present politicians has focused the attention of the EFCC (Economic Financial Crime Commision) to scrutinize the activities of government leaders in the country. For example, the former governor of Bayelsa State in Nigeria was caught in Europe for money Laundering. The scandal was useful for the EFCC to curb financial crimes in Nigeria.
The behaviour of our famous musicians have turned into what their fans identify as "Haywire." The artistes in so many countries have involved themselves in scandalous behaviours, leading to what the purist call "Morally offensive and dishonest behaviours," that is unacceptable by the society. A sample of musicians who do such things can be identified in the United States of America. For example, the late famous POP artiste "Micheal Jackson" was involved in a sex scandal that almost ruined his reputation. An old and rich man raped a fifteen year old girl. This scandal helped the FBI to mount surveillance on all the artistes in the United State of America.
However, the news about dishonest or immoral things that famous or important people are believed to have done has made almost all the Magazines, Newspapers, Television and Audio news etc, full of gossips and scandals. But the scandals serve as a starting point to the solution of a problem.
In conclusion, a series of political scandals, due to the cupidity want of politicians in search of money, power and position have turned them to have a callous attitude towards their citizens. They embezzle money without considering the effect of their actions and reacts in a malevolent waay towards any one that tries to criticize them. The famous artistes in the modern time have been involved in somany unfair and unacceptable behaviour by the society, involving themselfs in cases such as child abuse and rape. The scandal of all the atrocities have helped each and every country to identify the problem immediately and are able to solve them in a proactive manner.
