Some people claim that a nation's government should preserve its wilderness areas in their natural state. Others argue that these areas should be developed for potential economic gain.
In this era, technological and industrial growths are at their zenith. For industrialization, people are exploring an abundance of resources and exploiting the natural state of wilderness areas. According to the claim there is a argument that whether preservation of wilderness areas in their natural state is essential or development of these areas for economical growth should be done.
In my opinion, government should make efforts to conserve these areas in their natural states. These days due to tremendous growth of business and technology, people are using more and more natural resources and now nation is suffering from scarcity of some of natural resources. For example as the nuclear technology is advancing, the exploitation of Uranium and Thorium is increasing and for construction of nuclear power plants, large natural area has used for the potential gain.
So government should make some policies and decides the limits of expansion of industrialization. If there is a paucity of natural resources, it will affect the economical growth. So to argue that use of natural areas to increase the potential gain is not justifiable. If natural resources, which are the raw and fundamental requirement of industry, are not available , it will hinder the development and growth. So wilderness areas should be conserved.
Activities like cutting of plants, deforestation, exploiting more and more natural resources have some adverse effects also. According to the research, because of this meddlesome growth, global warming is increasing and temperature of earth is tremendously enhancing. These will have deleterious effects, as glaciers are melting and sea level is increasing.
So, in these technological era it is exigent requirement to save the wilderness areas in their natural state. Economical growth is important, but it should be done without harming the natural areas. Innovative alternatives should be explored to enhance the economical growth instead of developing the wilderness areas for this purpose.
